Preparation

Autochthonous Istrian red wine, called teran or borgonja, is heated with the addition of olive oil, sugar, salt and pepper. Warm and flavored wine is served in the pot called "bukatela" (Istrian traditional clay pot). Homemade bread is cut to about 1cm thick slices and grilled on "gradele" and then dipped to half into wine.
